Little Akira Update
I know I promised a pre-alpha version for December 24th (today) but unfortunately is not at the point where it's usable by any stretch of the term.
The major features and options for the basic Application Container are done, which are:
- Open multiple instances with
- Close the current instance with
- Toggle the Presentation Mode with
- Left and right panels are fully resizable
I'm currently developing the Alert Dialog before closing the window, in case an edit was done to the currently open project, and I should be able to finish it today before the Christmas dinner
The next few days will be focused on creating the first 3 toolbar button to create Artboards, Rectangle and Oval Shapes, and Select the shapes with the ability to rotate, resize, and delete them.
This work and the future implementation of this section is made possible thanks to the amazing Felipe Escoto (Philip Scott), which I'm helping with my really limited knowledge in building an open library for everyone to use, to later integrate inside Akira.

So...when the hell we can test Akira???
I don't know, but I really hope I'll be able to ship something stable and usable before the end of December.
I'm a strong believer in the mantra "Ship later if you can ship better", which means you shouldn't publish something if you don't think it's at the point where you want it to be.
I prefer to postpone and miss deadlines in favor of better software and fewer bugs.
But also, the sooner I deploy Akira, the sooner I'll get feedback and bug reports from the users, so, I'm kinda conflicted on this.
Anyway, I'm also trying to publish an AppImage of Akira, but that's not going too well. If anyone could help me that'd be much appreciated. You can check the current issue on the Github repo and see if my
travis.yml file needs work.
After that, I'll try to automatically compile and publish via Travis-CI every available package format, like AppImage, FlatPak, and Snap Package. Let's see how it goes.
Well, apologies for the delay and the missing Christmas present, but I'm getting closer.
